ENERPAL ASSOCIATES WITH SABADELL BANK FOR THE FINANCING AND CONSTRUCTION OF A 44MW WIND POWER PLANT IN SPAIN

Enerpal, has partnered with Sinia (Sabadell bank’s investment area) to finance, promote, build and operate a wind power plant in Spain. The two partners obtained 68 million euros through the syndication of three large financial institutions (Banco Sabadell, Caixabank and Bankia) to finance the construction of a 44MW wind power plant (Mirasierra Wind Power Plant).

The construction of this park has been performed by Gamesa, which will be responsible for installing 22 wind turbines, machines of the latest generation from Gamesa, 2MW of unit power, estimating its start-up at the end of the second quarter of 2012.

The 44 MW of power from these parks will produce about 105 GWh of energy per year and will mean an annual saving of CO2 emissions to the atmosphere of 24,200 kg / year, providing the annual energy consumption of about 10,000 households.

Enerpal Group has currently projects in two countries (Spain and Portugal) and a portfolio of wind and solar PV projects of 1,500 MW of which 104 MW are under operation and construction.

The signing of this agreement strengthens Enerpal Group position to undertake its international growth and expansion plan, including the possibility of collaborating with Sinia in future projects.
